September eleventh has made a lasting impression on me. On that day, two landmarks fell at the hands of terrorists, a nation was gripped with fear, and thousands of people died. People just a few friends away from me died. It has changed many of my practices, and I have made a "digital memorial" so we will never forget that moment.

At 8:45 AM EDT, on September 11, 2001, a hijacked Boeing 767 slammed into the north tower of the World Trade Center. Over the next few hours, more hijacked planes crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. Then, both towers collapsed. Over 3,000 people died that day.

I will never forget the people who lost their lives on September 11th, and the rest of the nation will not either. However, the tragedy struck me not just as an American but as an individual. Many of my friends had relatives who worked in the World Trade Center. People who worked at my father's company were on one of the planes. But most of all, a little part of my heart collapsed as the World Trade Towers came down.

In my post-9/11 mindset, I act differently than I did before. When my father goes on a business trip, I always nervously watch his plane's progress over the Internet. The biggest thing I want is peace of mind. In addition, I have established a "digital memorial" to all the lost souls from the attacks at http://comclub.dyndns.org:8081/stalbum/. I have collected pictures from all over the Internet and television and posted them on the site for all to see, both today and for many years to come.

I will never forget September 11th. It has made a indelible impression on me, and I have reacted. Whether worrying about my father or memorializing the victims, I am remembering the day in my own special way.
